SK85 cold rolled steel strip features fine and uniform internal microstructure, excellent surface flatness, and strong laser cutting compatibility. It is widely used for manufacturing circular saw blade substrates and small cutting tools. The material undergoes precision cold rolling and spheroidizing annealing, offering precise dimensional tolerances and high surface finish. With good plasticity in the annealed state and outstanding hardness and elasticity after quenching, it serves as a premium substrate material for mid-to-high-end saw blades and thin-edge tools.

SK85 is a high-carbon tool steel with relatively high carbon content, achieving high hardness and wear resistance through high-carbon martensite. Sulfur and phosphorus impurities are strictly controlled, ensuring high steel purity and stable hardenability during quenching. It is suitable for manufacturing high-wear-resistant, high-strength saw blades and thin cutting tools.

The steel features uniform and dense internal microstructure with flat surfaces, producing minimal burrs and excellent forming results during laser cutting. The annealed hardness is moderate, facilitating convenient stamping, bending, and blanking operations. After heat treatment and quenching, hardness can reach 58–63 HRC, combining high hardness, good elasticity, and fatigue resistance. Saw blades made from this material resist deformation and chipping during high-speed operation.
